The Wasi Cross Country Ski Club is a small club located about 20 minutes south of North Bay, Ontario – close to Callander and Astorville. We have 43 km of ski trails and 8 km of snowshoe trails meandering through a mix of hardwood and conifers. The ski trails are classically groomed and track set and include 7½ km of double-track. Access skiing or snowshoeing or both on your membership or day pass.
Feb 23, 2024: Unfortunately the ski trails have been closed due to unsafe conditions. The recent rain/mild weather followed by freezing temperatures have created ice filled tracks with bare sections. Snowshoe trails remain open with caution regarding hard icy surfaces.
The Moonlight Snowshoe will still take place tomorrow evening at 8:00 PM.
The last day for the Wasi Ski and Showshoe Challenge has been extended to March 10. The snowshoe challenge is still ongoing. As for the ski challenge, it’s on pause while the ski trails are closed. Any outings done while the ski trails are closed will not count towards your totals.
There are proposed changes to the club’s constitution and by-laws. Most changes are driven to be in compliance with Ontario’s Not-For-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). The details are here, and the vote is to be held at the AGM on April 2.
Moonlight skiing and snowshoeing, guided hikes, Family Day activities, and more! Visit our calendar for details.
