Explore the trails and meet some new people this season! Check our Facebook page for any changes or updates due to weather or conditions.

Canadian Ski Marathon

North America’s oldest Nordic ski tour.  Normally this takes place during a weekend at Montebello.  However this year it will be a virtual event again, from February 5 to March 20.  It can be skied anywhere, including at Wasi.  It is not a race… Rather, each skier can select his/her own level of challenge and try to achieve it.  The Categories are: Tourer (15 km per section), Half-Marathon (45 km in a day), and for the really ambitious, Coureur Des Bois (120 km over 2 days).

Registration is now open here

The event’s website, which includes ski categories, fees and awards, is here.

Wasi Ski Club is listed as an “Official Training Trail” for the marathon, with the following designated combination of trails adding up to 16.1 km:

Ski the outer loop, including the Purple and the Red, up to the Blue shortcut. Take the Blue shortcut back to where it meets the Yellow. Ski the Green trail back to the chalet.

Or you can ski whatever combination of trails you like!
