The Wasi Cross Country Ski Club is a small club located about 20 minutes south of North Bay, Ontario – close to Callander and Astorville. We have 43 km of ski trails and 8 km of snowshoe trails meandering through a mix of hardwood and conifers. The ski trails are classically groomed and track set and include 7½ km of double-track. Access skiing or snowshoeing or both on your membership or day pass.
The club is now OPEN! The snowshoe trails are great and the Orange, Blue and Yellow ski trails have been rolled on Dec 2, 2020. Please remember to sign in and out and sanitize your hands.
Our facilities include a heated chalet and outhouses, and warm up hut with a wood-stove and out house. You can use the trails and chalet all week long during the winter season. A bulletin board with trail conditions and other announcements is posted on the building along with a thermometer and trail map. Trail maps are posted at the chalet and at each trail intersection. A sign-in sheet, maps, membership applications, and a daily fees drop box are available inside the chalet.
Due to COVID-19, the chalet will be temporarily closed at the beginning of the 2020/2021 season as a precautionary measure.
All our ski trails are groomed for classic skiing only. We do not provide ski rentals. However, you are able to loan snowshoes from the East Ferris Library located at 1257 Village Road in Astorville. Their hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 1:30 PM to 8 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM.
